Brooke Hill Academy Trust Consultation on Admissions Arrangements
(3rd November 2025 to 5th January 2026)
In line with the requirements of the School Admissions Code (2021) we are consulting on the changes to our admissions policy. This will be for the Admissions Policy for 2027-28 and beyond. This policy applies to Edith Weston Academy, Brooke Hill Academy and South Witham Academy.

The policy has been updated with the proposed changes including changes to the oversubscription criteria, to make them simpler and easier to understand. We are also consulting to return the published PAN (intake number) at South Witham Academy and Edith Weston to 15.
As part of the consultation, we are inviting views from:
- Parents/carers of children between the ages of 2 and 18
- Any people in the area who have an interest in the proposed admissions
- The Local Authority and any other admission authorities within the relevant areas.

ADMISSION APPEALS
Our schools serve their local communities and welcome children of all backgrounds, faith and abilities. Brooke Hill Academy Trust is the Admissions Authority for all of its schools and therefore responsible for all admissions.
Reception intake applications are coordinated by the Local Authority (Rutland or Lincolnshire) and in-year admissions are coordinated by the Trust. For further information about each school’s admissions arrangements and admissions forms, please visit their individual websites.
If a year group is oversubscribed – that is, there are more applications than places available – the Admission Authority will apply the admissions criteria from the Admissions Policy, allocating places up to their Published Admission Number. Parents/guardians of those refused places are then entitled to appeal against this decision. Parents wishing to appeal must set out the grounds for their appeal in writing and sent to:
